Getting Started With Utility Warehouse

by Steve on August 1, 2010

I’ve decided to add the ‘Utility Warehouse’ business opportunity to my current portfolio of income streams – Right now I earn a reasonable living from a fairly complex mixture of Online and Offline Marketing consultancy, Website development, Website hosting fees and referral telephony income. So far so good, but I’ve been trying to think ahead for a while now and the thought of no pension is beginning to chafe me a bit!

As a late entrant into the housing market and with an ‘unconventional’ career path – I hadn’t been able to see any  prospect of a pension or a viable alternative, on the horizon, until I had a chance encounter with an old business colleague about 4 weeks ago.

Mark and I bumped into each other in the building where he used to have the offices for his IT business, I was there to meet with my new accountant – we got talking and I suggested going to his office for a coffee. I was literally staggered when he said he’d sold the business and was now working full time with Utility Warehouse.  I had always thought of him as a pretty succesful IT  professional – why would he change? It turned out that a combination of ill health and market conditions had made him think again, and his new career choice was Utility Warehouse.

To cut a long story short we subsequently had several phone chats, a number of emails and a couple of coffee morning meetings – eventually I ended up thinking ‘that if he could do it, why couldn’t I?’

So I signed up to get started!

Last Tuesday my starter pack arrived – followed by a phone call inviting me to attend a locally held presentation on Wednesday evening.

I’ve opened the starter pack and it’s just jam packed with stuff – Looks like there’s a big learning curve ahead with regard to product knowledge – this is a field I’ve never even considered before – so I know absolutely nothing!

Onward and upward!
